Phoebe Butler- London Based Performer and Teacher.
Phoebe Butler is a graduate of TrinityLaban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London where she gained a degree in Historical Performance. Her first instrument is the recorder which she studied under the tuition of Rebecca Miles, Philip Thorby, Ian Wilson and Dan Laurin and her second study is the viola da gamba which she learnt with Alison Crum and Dai Miller. In May 2014 Phoebe won the TrinityLaban Early Music Competition with Ensemble Bergamasca and their prize was a concert at the International Early Music Festival in Greenwich. In the same year, she won the Beryl Maggs prize for the ‘most deserving recorder player’ at Trinity.
